Re: Football
Predictable score line this evening, Eddie! The Reds were battered by Chelsea. Forest did make eight changes & gave most of their fringe players a run out. The blues did the same. To be fair, I don't think teams take this competition as seriously as they used to. It used to be the top flight teams making significant changes to their line-ups, but now it seems everyone's at it. A bit of a kick around, really! Not to worry.
PS: At least we didn't get nil
The Baggies were unlucky not to get something out of their game against City. They had some very good chances to win it after they had forced the equaliser.

I think you're right when you say that teams don't take this competition as seriously as they used to, Number 6. Ah, well, let's hope both Forest and the Baggies are more successful in their league games.

I hope both of our respective teams do well this season, Eddie. It's about time we had a decent run to give us something to cheer about!

The biggest game so far this season takes place this Sunday in the Championship. Sheffield Wednesday v Another Team from Sheffield.

I won't be at the match, Eddie, as Erika and I are looking after our granddaughter whilst her mum and dad are at the game. Luckily for me, my son has Sky Sports.

Looks like there's still an opportunity for Peru to get into the World Cup!! So far, it's in fourth place, and believe it or not, is doing better than Chile!

I hope the Owls win the local Derby, John! I've got relatives that support the dark side of Sheffield, so I'm hoping they meet their maker on Sunday!John Pickup wrote:The biggest game so far this season takes place this Sunday in the Championship. Sheffield Wednesday v Another Team from Sheffield.

Re: Football
Same predictable outcome for the Reds this evening! It's now Four wins, Five defeats, no draws...Not very good. Another woeful defensive display. The manager makes a lot of odd decisions re team selection, tactics, etc. Playing players out of position ain't helping either! The whole set-up is a shambles.

Re: Football
A disappointing result, Number 6. I was hoping for a Forest win this evening.

I hope so too, Number 6. I've just checked the Owls score and they are losing 2-1. Come on Wednesday! Brighton kick off at 4pm.
