Re: New Weekly Serial
A 'top notch' chapter, Daisy - really enjoyable and suspenseful! I always love 'night adventures'. Brilliant stuff!

hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

It has been a few weeks since I commented but I'm still reading Daisy. Utterly brilliant last chapter, I actually had a shiver run down my spine at one point. Top stuff!

good chapter, looking forward to the last (if I remember correctly)
Bill: "I don't know what to say. You're only kids — but you're the finest company of friends anyone could have. You know the meaning of loyalty already, and even if you're scared you don't give up. I'm proud to have you for my friends."

Re: New Weekly Serial
Very enjoyable chapter, Daisy. I loved the way the children followed the trail! Just an observation though...why didn't George escape if he could open the door? Hope you don't take that as a criticism - I just wondered. Maybe I read that section wrongly.
I've really enjoyed this story - a worthy addition to the SS series. I'm interested to see how it all gets rounded off next time.

Re: New Weekly Serial
Rob.... you're quite right - I just imagined George had been so woozy and tired, that the silly fellow dumped him - probably not knowing quite what to do with him!

i know, its very easy as a writer to let your imagination 'fill in the gaps' without realising it! it happens with me quite often!

I've also been waiting eagerly for the serial to finish so that I can read it in its entirety, Daisy.
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.
