RIP Hywel Bennett
I've just heard that Hywel Bennett has died at the age of 73. I remember seeing him with Hayley and John Mills in The Family Way in 1966 and later in the ITV series Shelley. He also appeared in many other acclaimed films for television and cinema. RIP Hywel Bennett.
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

I'm sad to hear that Eddie.
I particularly enjoyed his performance in the 1972 Agatha Christie film 'Endless Night'. He was just how I imagined the character from the book.

Re: RIP Hywel Bennett
That is indeed very sad news, as he was not so old to die.

I can remember him in many things, but I think it's Shelley that'll always stick in my mind! R.I.P. Mr Bennett.

Re: RIP Hywel Bennett
Quite shocked by this, as he really wasn't very old. I remember 'Shelley' well!

Very sad when I heard this.
I watched The Family Way just a couple of weeks ago - to me that's how I will always remember him.
