Re: 8 Noddy books with dust jackets for £4.99
I've made a bid, thanks, Sixret. I'd love to collect all the original Noddy series in early editions. (My cousins had nearly all of them and they were a great tradition in our family — Mum, before she had children of her own, used to love reading them to her first niece, my oldest cousin. Unfortunately we never managed to get the whole series ourselves.)
Now I'm going to bed for a few hours before my night shift, so I'm not going to stay up and watch this one — if I get it, I get it, and if I don't, I don't.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Re: 8 Noddy books with dust jackets for £4.99
Hooray, I got 'em! And for the minimum price, too (I was the only bidder).
They're not all in fantastic condition, but they're good enough for a start — I'll see which ones are worth keeping and the others I can replace as and when I can find better copies. I'm not fazed about whether or not they're first editions, just that they're in reasonably good nick and have the original text.
I haven't read all of these ones, either, so I'm looking forward to them. Hurrah for Little Noddy (to quote one of Enid's own titles)!

Congratulations, Courtenay! Anita will be green with envy.

Yeah - I bet Anita is crying into her Noddy mug as we speak!
Great bargain, Courtenay - well done! I already have most of these (except You're A Good Friend, Noddy), or else I might have gone for them - if you hadn't already bid for them. I always try not to bid against any EB Members unless I do it unknowingly.
If anyone comes across any of those I don't have, for a good price and preferably with a DJ, let me know! I do have them all in various condition - some in paperback - but would like better versions of the following -
6 Noddy Goes To School
12 Noddy and Tessie Bear
16 You're A Good Friend, Noddy
23 Noddy and the Tootles

Thanks again, Sixret, for letting me know about these — I'm looking forward to getting them in the post. An incredible bargain, really, at less than £1 per book (even with the postage)!

Anita would love this to soften the blow of being gazumped on the Noddy books.

Good one, Pete. Or else I'm sure she'd enjoy playing with these...

Do they do a Noddy punch-bag? I'm sure Anita would love one!
Poor Anita - she'll never live it down! I bet she groans every time we mention her not liking Noddy these days, lol!

Actually, I rather like the set of skittles - and some of the other merchandise. It's just the long-windedness of some of the stories that I object to!

Thanks Sixret! Even though I have two of them, the two I want are the two with dust jackets - so if it doesn't go any higher, I'll definitely bid!
