Good news about the swallow, Wolfgang. I hope it continues to do well - and the other young ones too.

I haven't had time to post for a while as it's that time of year again when I am right in the thick of marking GCSE and A-levels and before that getting students ready to sit them. However, I have some exciting news - I have been offered a job in Spain and will be moving there in August ready to start in September.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Thank you all!
It has left me with a dilemma though, I haven't yet got an address to have my journal sent so I can't renew my subscription until I find somewhere. I will be in lodgings until mid-September.

Congratulations Dot! Hope it all goes well. I'm not jealous at all though, lol! I would hate having to go and live somewhere else. Guess I'm not very adventurous.
I'm far too much like Enid - The thought of 'having' to work abroad fills me with dread, as I'm too set in my ways! I guess I'm too 'British' as Enid might have put it. I always feel the same when friends go to work abroad - such as a teacher friend who is now working in Mexico! However, I'm sure it's a great opportunity! Enjoy it!

Congratulations Dot. Looks like you'll be nice and warm next winter while we in the UK are freezing.

Re: General Natter Room
Thank you all. Yes, I'm looking forward to not freezing this winter. Rob, I'm cheating a bit because it is a British school and so the work environment will be similar to what I know with the bonus of warm weather at the weekend. What's not to like?
