Berries, methinks. Presumably a reddish colour, but my mind has gone totally blank on that one....,

Quite right Aurélien. Pip was painting a Christmas card and colouring in his red berries. Over to you.

Re: Find-Outers Series Quiz
Thank you, Daisy.
Although our New Zealand Christmas falls during our Summer, I remember the many Christmas cards of my younger years, oftimes showing the holly of a British Winter......along with nineteenth-century stagecoaches!
Who was the owner of Dark Queen?

Re: Find-Outers Series Quiz
We still get plenty of those during Christmas in Australia too — not to mention the time a few years ago when I was living in Brisbane and the square in front of the city hall had a giant artificial Christmas tree covered with giant artificial snowflakes. Not only was this in the height of summer, but Brisbane is in the sub-tropics!!Aurélien wrote: Although our New Zealand Christmas falls during our Summer, I remember the many Christmas cards of my younger years, oftimes showing the holly of a British Winter......along with nineteenth-century stagecoaches!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

I think it's Miss Garnett, Julie.

That would be The Mystery of The Strange Bundle. One of the very first F.O's books I ever read!
