Kiki, for the last time you are not a puffin and under the bed does not class as a burrow.
If I could live here on this secret island always and always and always, and never grow up at all, I would be quite happy

Bringing Jack's breakfast wearing high heels,a chiffon wrap and suspenders,Philip made it quite clear he would much rather be referred to as Philipa in future ...

Thanks for reminding me, Anita - I did indeed forget!!

It was very difficult to choose, but going by chuckle-value, the one that made me smile most was Anita's -

What with seeing bright lights and hearing disembodied voices, Rob wasn't sure that his customary glass of Lucozade would do the trick.

which I would have picked as the winner until she posted -

"Lawks a mussy!" gasped Rob. "I clean forgot to judge the Caption Competition!"

So either way - Congratulations, Anita! You win! :-D

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Blimey! First and second prize in one go. That'll take some beating. Does this mean you'll have to put up two captions, Anita? :D

I don't think most people would welcome two Betty Maxeys!

"It's a bit cruel of Betty Maxey to have you standing on Timmy's foot, don't you think, George!" said Anne, in concern.

"Picnics aren't what they used to be, are they?" sighed Julian. "Where are all the sausages?"
