Ah, yes! That rings a bell. I did think it was the campsite in 'get into trouble', though, where the Five first meet Richard, just after Julian & Dick were seen swimming in the pond. I'll have to sit down & watch the whole series when I've time. Cheers Gary!

Just watched the opening to the Five get into trouble episode, & the pond is indeed the one shown in my last photo! Everything fits in with the camping/swimming scene.

Ooh! I clearly remember it!!!!number 6 wrote:Exbury Gardens. This is the pond seen in Secret trail, where the Five encounter Guy!
Did that pond feature in any other episode?

The pond may have been used in other episodes, Maria. I've not seen the series for a while, so my memory needs refreshing! In the meantime, this is the shop in Exbury village, seen in 'Go off in a caravan', where ice creams are bought by Anne & George.... and also used as the Antique shop in the Finniston Farm episode!

Re: TV locations for the Famous Five series
I'm a bit confused.. I thought they bought ice creams in 'Five go off in a caravan'?
Those are indeed lovely places, how I would love to go there...

No, you're not confused, Maria! You are absolutely correct! I meant to say ' Five go off in a caravan'! Don't know why I said ' Go off to camp'! I've now corrected my last post. I think I'm having too many senior moments!

I'm not querying your location, number 6, but that bears such a resemblance to some shops in Burley. Maybe the same architects were used!number 6 wrote: this is the shop in Exbury village, seen in 'Go off in a caravan', where ice creams are bought by Anne & George.

That's quite interesting, Moonraker! I've not noticed the similarities to Burley before, but now you've pointed It out, I can see what you mean. Hmmm...I'm now wondering how more villages in the New Forest have the same sort of architecture. I'm going to have to start walking around with my eyes open when I next visit!
