Re: Happy Birthday Enid!
Wow! Happy birthday, dear Enid!
Last year, I wrote an article on my local magazine about Enid (in display at Heather's site) and now the magazine is requesting me to write a whole two paged cover story about Enid as a tribute to her birthday. I am a bit confused, to be honest.
What shall I write about? I hope you all will be able to help me.

Ooooooooooooooh! Hap,hap, happy birthday, Enid. Your books have added so much delight to my life!
That's wonderful, Mohamed. Somehow I missed your article. I buy the magazine often but I've read your article at Heather's Blyton Page. Very wonderfully written indeed.
Well, you must go ahead if they are asking you! Write a short biography, then write whats so special about Enid's books etc... Other members will help you, I am quite sure!

Bon Anniversaire, Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, Feliz Cumpleaños, etc.
It seems appropriate for a translator to give a multi-lingual birthday greeting!

Mohamed, it's great that you've been asked to write another article. You could write about the qualities of the books, which titles are most popular and why they still appeal to young people today. Good luck with it!

Happy Birthday Enid Blyton. My thanks for all the years of pleasure and you may rest assured that you are as popular as ever.

Re: Happy Birthday Enid!
Here's a feeble I wrote for Enid. I know its not very good but I'm not good in poetry
Dear Enid...
Dear Enid,
Your books have added so much of delight to my little life
Dear Enid,
You have made my childhood so blissful
Dear Enid,
I travel with you to a land of happiness,
Where sadness never comes,
Dear Enid,
Your books take me to a completely different world
Where I can roam freely and happily
Where I can fly into the air
Dear Enid,
How will I ever erase the memory of your books from my mind?
And now rest in peace, O Queen of Adventure
I know thousands remember you
Missing you on the day when you were born
Dear Enid,
Last but not the least,
I will never forget you!
Silly poem!

Re: Happy Birthday Enid!
That wasn't such a bad poem. I rather liked the "Dear Enid" refrain, and the "Queen of Adventure" was a nice touch. I reckon Enid herself would have quite enjoyed it!
Best Regards

Re: Happy Birthday Enid!
Thanks Rowan! I was actually thinking of the titles that Enid should be called.
How about "The Adventurer Behind the Famous Five", "The Queen of Children's Literature"?
LOL!

Lovely poem Almas, well written!
It's not silly at all, you shouldn't put down your own work. Enid would not like that.
I like the queen of children's literature.

I agree with Rowan that the phrase "O Queen of Adventure" is thrilling. Enid Blyton would have been delighted with that title, I'm sure!
