It's lovely to think that a number of us were looking forward to an Enid Blyton Day back then - but sad to reflect that Barbara Stoney and Gillian Baverstock are no longer with us. And of course we've also lost people like Robert Tyndall, Val Biro and Mary Cadogan more recently.Tony Summerfield wrote:I first registered on the forums ten years ago today, but it wasn't until New Year's Eve that I plucked up my courage to start my first thread. As we move into the new year we have currently sold 70 tickets for the Annual Society Day. Our three patrons will all be attending - Gillian Baverstock and Imogen Smallwood, Enid's two daughters and Barbara Stoney her biographer.
On a brighter note, let's hope many forumites and other Blytonians are able to get together this year at the Enid Blyton Exhibition when it comes to Canterbury and Plymouth.
Zaidi, it's great to see you looking in and I hope all is well with you and your family.
I love the elephant card, Lucy-Ann!
