Noddy outfit
This may seem to be the strangest thing to buy.
It's my brother's second birthday in October, and my mum and I planned to get him a Noddy outfit, complete with hat and bell.
I have looked on eBay and Amazon, but they all show one horribly made set. I've found loads of them, but all seem to use the same picture.
I was wondering if any knowledgeable seller has one to sell, or can redirect me to another seller?
Thanks.
Sounds as if I'm writing a business letter.
Edit: This is the horrible picture all the sellers seem to be displaying.

Re: Noddy outfit
Wow! I would love to see your brother wearing the Noddy costume, Ming! I searched the web but didn't come up with any useful links, to be honest.
I did log in at http://partyworlduk.net (my school always orders constumes from them for annual functions and parties) - and came with the same Noddy outfit!
The boy in the picture looks rather cute though
Oh! And can I wish your brother a very happy birthday?

No, I hadn't seen that site before, thanks.
But as I said, almost everyone is using the same picture over the internet.

When I was four I entered a fancy dress competition and went as Noddy. (probably my sister's doing!) I won second prize too. I don't know if any photos have survived. It might be fun to have a look in the old photograph albums one day and see!

If his birthday is in October, Ming, that gives you a couple of months to buy your own material in red, blue and yellow and get to work with a needle and thread!

Re: Noddy outfit
...or you could hire a nice tailor to make a Noddy outfit. I did that once when I was in grade four. I was chosen to play the part of Tom Thumb in a school function and the tailor made a jolly good pixie outfit and a cap!
But mind me, they can be pretty expensive!

The picture does'nt look that bad in my opinion. I mean,Noddy always did look a bit of a wally anyway.

Re: Noddy outfit
I am surprised you should say that, Lucky Star. Noddy is dear ole' cutie-pue!
And Julian, I agree. Some tailors can be very expensive indeed especially about costumes and fancy outfits. I was playing a role of Little Red Riding Hood in my annual school play and one of the tailors took whole 800 dirhams for my costume which consisted of a red hooded cloak, a little frock with a red apron and red slippers.

Re: Noddy outfit
Surely it won't be that difficult? A red T shirt, blue shorts, yellow belt, red shoes/slippers...just the hat to make and a bell from a pet shop to put on top!
I am certain that a girl of Ming's advanced capabilities will have no trouble in perfecting that!

Re: Noddy outfit
I didn't think that picture looked too bad either! I agree that the outfit looks fairly easy to make for someone who sews. Compared to US, tailors are very reasonably priced in India. If you show them the picture, they should be able to make it.Lucky Star wrote:The picture does'nt look that bad in my opinion. I mean,Noddy always did look a bit of a wally anyway.

Any luck with the outfit, Ming?

Re: Noddy outfit
Erm... no. I think we'll just have to stick with getting the right coloured clothes!!
In any case, Blyton is so unknown here that most people prob won't even know that that was meant to be Noddy.
