I seem to be having some trouble with the Log in on the site. What happens is I log in, and post etc. But once posted the site shows me as logged out along the top, but my name is still shown at the bottom of the page. If I try and post again, I have to log in again, only for the site to log me out once posted. I have to turn off my computer and turn it back on to remove my name at the bottom of the page. Does anyone kno why this is?
Sorry if I put this under the wrong section.

Re: Logging Out
I always check the box (that's an Americanism for put a tick in the box!) that says 'Log me in automatically', or words to that effect. As such, I am always logged in when I access the site.
Your problem seems to be possibly cookie related, Julie. Try logging out, then when you log in, tick the box to automatically log in on each visit. You probably need to clear your cookies. You can do this (in Firefox) by selecting Tools from the top of screen, then Clear Private Data. In the box that appears select Cache, Cookies and Authenticated Sessions and click Clear Private Data Now. If you use Internet Explorer it's Tools>Internet Options then, under Browsing History, there are options to clear cookies.
Keith is your best bet (sorry, Keith) if this doesn't help to advise on these matters. Hope you sort it out soon.

Re: Logging Out
Thanks, Nigel. I've cleaned up as you suggested and I'll see how this goes. So far I've been able to post without the lap top cutting me off.

Re: Logging Out
Our Moonraker has given you some good advice, Julie.
Very likely your problem is caused by a corrupt file on your computer. If it's a cookie, clearing out your cookie cache should fix it. If it's something else, Keith will either know or be able to find out what it is.
Best of British, lass.
