Every time I try to visit the forums, I'm always signed out although I have ticked the box where is says "log me automatically on each visit" but still whenever I visit the forums, I'm ALWAYS logged off and so I have to sign in every time

Yes, I had that problem once, but only when using Firefox. The problem was a corrupt cookie. Maybe a stale Google Bun? I deleted all cookies, and it has been fine ever since.Julian wrote:Every time I try to visit the forums, I'm always signed out although I have ticked the box where is says "log me automatically on each visit" but still whenever I visit the forums, I'm ALWAYS logged off and so I have to sign in every time

Well, actually I use MIE and the same problem happened to me too in the beginning. I would recommend you to enable your board cookies...

But whats the difference between MIE and Firefox?
I've always heard that Firefox is very slow...

Re: How annoying!!!!
Well, ages ago Firefox was a very slender and fast browser. But nowadays it also grew up to a byte-eating-monster as I.E is one.I am using the Vista I.E and I'm very pleased.
No folderol and furbelows. That's it for me.
Ever tried to browse with Tor, Megaproxy or beHidden ?

Re: How annoying!!!!
I still find FF faster than IE7. It also has the benefits of being more secure. The thing I like most is the ability to alter the appearance. You don't have to stick with the boring old blue and beige if IE, there are many, many diferrent skins to add-on to the browser, making it custom made to your wishes!
IMHO, there is no comparison.

Re: How annoying!!!!
Nigel are you really sure Firefox is safer than I.E or is it a feeling that you have.
I heard that the rate of bugs in FF had increased gradually .But this could also be a hoax.
In future I.E and FF will probably converge in fitments and security.
But folks ,don't let me disturb you .Try out the Fox!

Keith is really the one to clarify this, he is the expert! He has certainly led me to believe that FF is much more secure. For me, it is such a better online experience.
