Yes, the whole situation had got pretty drastic, over 80 people had tried to register over the past 48 hours and the number was rising daily. Hopefully what Matt has now done will put an end to it.

Yep! I reset the counter now that I have banned the search and spam bots from the site.

I think I found this site though Google - although I can see that too many cause problrems.

I have banned the search bots from just the forums, so the main Society site will still be listed in Google's search listings.
