Am I Too Quick?

Post by Moonraker »

I keep getting the message:

You cannot make another search so soon after your last; please try again in a short while.

when I click on the Back Button on my browser to return to the last page. Have I suddenly speeded up? :?

Do you get this when you use "View posts since last visit"? I sometimes get this if I clicked on one and immediately went back as something caught my eye. I'm not sure what's wrong, sometimes I also get the note if I use the search engine to find a message, return to make another search soon. I think it "rests" for a minute or two after a search. I'm not sure... :?

Oh, that's flood control, Nigel. It applies to posting messages, too. You have to wait a while after posting a message before you are allowed to post another. It's a security measure -- to prevent spamming and DoS attacks.

Same happens only when I press the back button.
I just ignore it wait 2 secs and then do it again.
There is always something else new to learn.

What's wrong with Internet Explorer? I always use that, and never have any problems!

I just love Firefox. There is a fantastic range of skins. With IE it's just the plain, boring old look. With Firefox you can change the appearance of the
toolbars with Christmas/Hallowe'en/colour and so on.

Check out the Firefox website, Ming. You'll be convinced!

Hi Nigel,
I used Firefox formerly.Now I'm using I.E.7.
Firefox is a very good browser but in the meantime its volume also grew up.
I.E. is a little bit slower in speed building up the sites.
Maybe, this time I.E. could score!

In order to make Nigel even faster, I'd like to draw your attention to the new Quick Reply box, enabling you to reply without needing to open a new window.

Ever trying to make your Blytonic experience that little bit more pleasureable *vomit*

Nah, I prefer the normal replying one, not the new quick reply thing. Nigel, beware of Zoe, she'll probably soon have you running for miles.
