Re: Forumites Meet Up in June?
I was wondering just where we would meet... which bit of the Thames are we thinking of? There seem to be plenty of boat trips from various places - like Maidenhead. I was looking for somewhere near Bourne End but there are lots of bits of the Thames which have trips. Has anyone had any thoughts about that? I'm with Francis in thinking a boat trip is not essential although it is a pleasant idea.

I hope nobody minds but I altered the title of this thread after getting an enquiry about the date of the Society Day! It came from someone who is neither a member of the Society or the forums.

Good point, Daisy.
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

Re: Forumites Meet Up in July?
July 2nd is good for me, Sally. Whichever pub we chose, please could it be dog friendly, as we'll have our puppy with us, and I wouldn't want to leave her in the car in the hot weather.
I don't mind a boat trip, or a stroll along the Thames. As mentioned, it's enjoyable for me to meet friends in the pub, and have a good chin wag. Time goes by so quickly anyway, and it would be nice not to have to rush off.

Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.

This will really make my day seeing your puppy (as well as you and all the others of course!). I agree that we need time to have a proper natter - as you say the day will rush by.

Just let me know when and where and I'll do my best to be there.
If I'm still allowed?

"You're so sharp you'll cut yourself one day!" Hunchy said going to the door
"So my Mother told me that when I was two years old!" said Julian and the others giggled.

Of course you are Steff! We would love to see you there - just like the good old days. Pity Old Thatch is not available for you to photograph their lovely garden.

Re: Forumites Meet Up in July?
Why don't you book a property viewing that day? Pretend you've got a million or so quid and you're interested in buying
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.
