Well maybe not so much warmer, as slightly less cold.
I went on some great adventures reading the Famous Five books.

I have a hunch that Tony intends to make The Enid Blyton Day a bi-annual affair as the past two years suggest. This may be because of the costs in monetary as well as emotional and physical inputs in arranging and staging the event annually.

I can vouch for East Anglia being a dry part of the UK. We had a few spots of rain today, and I tutted as I was about to go out, then I realised I can't actually recall when we had a really good downpour. I don't know about the rest of the UK, but round here we seem to have weeks of wet weather, then nothing for what seems like months. With modern technology surely someone could work out a way to make it rain during the night and make it dry during the day?

If there isn't an offical Enid Blyton day next year, maybe some of us could meet up at Old Thatch?

I am certainly up for meeting at Old Thatch - take away the pain of waiting for Enid Blyton

You have no idea how many times my sister and I have said that! Ideally, it would be between 3 and 6am, as that would mean the least number of people getting wet.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Tomorrow is more typical - the rain is due to start about 10 am and last
all day in Guildford!

I'm still waiting for the heavy rain that was predicted for all of today. However I'm due to meet someone in town at 3.00. It's about half an hour's walk each way, so I'm betting it will rain from about 2.30 until 4.30 - then the sun will come out about 5.00 while I'm still wringing out my wet clothes. :D

When I read this it dampened my day.

Still trialling other writers, but will eventually go back to reading a bit of Blyton! Just too many books...

Occasionally will pop in! xx

I didn't realize that Tony had a new secretary! :P

Is this thread now a weather forecast and not about an E.B. Day? :?

Gosh - a thread that strays from it's original topic - what an unusual occurrence
