Have booked the date in the diary, so keeping fingers crossed I can come and meet everyone from the forums.
As I've not been before, Tony, do I look out for news on the home page of the Society?

Home Page, forums and Journal, Julie - you won't be able to miss it! Other than the date there is not much to say at this stage, but bit by bit further details will be revealed! I hope you will be able to make it.

Although I have not put it in the next Journal, I thought this would be a good place to say that Pamela Cox, who has already written two St. Clare's sequels has kindly agreed to come and speak to us at next year's Enid Blyton Day. The timing is very good as she has a third St Clare's book coming out just before the Day in April next year. The title is Kitty at St Clare's, and Pam has told me that it follows on from Third Form at St Clare's.

It is wonderful that one of our forum regulars will be going to St. Clare's - I hope that Kitty reads this post!!

Hurrah! I like Pamela Cox's St. Clare's books and I'm interested to hear what she has to say. Congratulations on getting into St. Clare's, Kitty  !

How thrilling - thank you so much for telling us, Tony - much more exciting to be a Kitty in an Enid school than just a rather dreary Angela Brazil one! I can't wait to read it. And this of course is an extra incentive for me to join the EBS as soon as finances permit, in the hope that I'll be able to come to the Blyton Day and hear Pamela Cox's talk! :) :) :)
Gwendoline lay down, angry. She determined to make herself miserable and cry.

Will it be possible for Pamela Cox to bring a goodly supply of the new book with her and perhaps do a book signing as well?

I think it might be difficult to ask Pamela Cox to bring copies along, as you never know how many you are going to sell and she could get stuck with a few. As the book is due to be published on April 8th, over a month before the Day, anybody who would like a signed copy can easily get one in their local bookshop and bring it along. So long as books are already available in the shops I think this is always the best way to do this.
