The interviews will be going out on Sunday June 3rd at 7.15 on BBC Radio 4. The programme is called go4it and for those like yourself living outside the UK I am pretty sure you will be able to get it through their website if you follow the link.

I got a letter this morning from a first-timer at the Day, and I thought I ought to share the first line of it with everyone:-

"First of all sorry you didn't make it to Twyford on the 12.05.07"

Oh dear! I know I have a fairly low profile at the Day, but I was there. Promise!

The writer goes on by asking me to pass on thanks to all the Society organisers for the work they do through the year. A number of people help on the Day, leaving a grateful me with very little to do, but for the other 364 days I am on my own! Keith is a knight in shining armour on this website which would only be a shadow of itself without him - but I manage to keep fairly busy too.

Thanks, this works nicely. One can listen to the programmes after they have been on air (using the Listen again facility), or listen 'live'.

I guess you 'd better sit on the stage for the duration next year, Tony, so as not to confuse the first-timers

No, I am more than happy to leave all the stage work to Norman Wright. The Enid Blyton Day was originally his idea before the Society even existed. His first Day was in 1993 and he has been the 'compere' ever since. He does an excellent job and both he and David Cook work like beavers before anyone arrives. I must also mention Flora Watson who is Imogen's cousin - she did a very splendid job on the Society stall, far more efficient than I would have been!

That is the work force in a nutshell and the fact that the Day runs so smoothly is entirely down to them.

Had a phone call from Ming; she is now safely home. The end of a chapter, but the book carries on.

Great to have met you, Ming. :)

That was no phone call, that was a text! I wondered when I had called you!

I am feeling VERY sleepy at the moment, and my house is full of relatives visiting me.

Unfortunately, I could not join but I'm very curious to know what Marcus and Gary told about the 78 TV series.

I'm not sure if this is going to be too small to read, but it comes from the Reading Weekend Post:-

I am sure that Zoe will be thrilled to have dropped a number of years and gone through metamorphosis to turn into Chloe Spratt!

I can already see on Preview the answer to my initial comment - it was quite readable until the automatic resizing swung into action before my very eyes!

Clever stuff Ming! I didn't know you could do that. You can now read about the 12 year-old from Bangladesh!! I have another cutting from the Twyford News, which I wasn't going to bother to scan as it has several more pics and would have been even smaller, but I might do that as well now.

No, I said in my post above, it isn't Zoe, it's Chloe Spratt who is only a couple of years older than you - I'm sure Zoe would be pleased.

Both these cuttings were kindly sent to me by Barbara Stoney.

Barbara, if you are reading this, thank you!

No wonder it didn't look very like Zoe then. For a minute there I thought I was losing my memory!!
