Maybe it should be on "Kindle"!
A real gem of an issue - I look forward to reading it!

Cover and contents look every bit as ravishing as always.

My copy of the Journal arrived this morning. Am I the first to receive it?

Re: Journal 83
My copy arrived at "First Base" today (as I might call it).
(i.e. I'm using someone else's overseas address because of the slow postal service here).
And I will be getting it at the weekend. That's as quick as it's ever been for me I think.

That joyous day we get three times per annum when we come home to find the Journal lying on the hall floor. Today was one of those days.

Re: Journal 83
Mine arrived yesterday. So far I've read the Editorial, which I always do firstly. Then I went onto the Treasure Hunters, one of my favourite books, and one I've written about myself in a past Journal. Then John Pickups, Ragamuffin article. So far all good, and I'm looking forward to reading the rest as soon as I have spare minutes to sit and relax.
Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.

Re: Journal 83
I was sat in the shed, Beauty on my knee, reading about other people's journals arriving and wondering if my subscription was due up when I heard the postman walking down the path.
Beauty, as usual at the sound of anyone but me being about, jumped off my knee and went hiding in the garden - and I went in to discover that, yes, my edition of the journal has just arrived!
It looks like it's good to be a very good read, so looking forward to starting it later.

Beauty on my knee,
Reading about other people's journals arriving,
And wondering if my subscription was due up,
When I heard the postman walking down the path.
It took me a few lines to realise that wasn't the beginning of a wonderful 'pome'!
Mine still hasn't arrived.
