Subscription pending?

Post by Jomo »

I actually subscribed on 1st of January, before I posted anything in the forums. How long does it take to process?

Jomo, you might not get your first Journal until the next one due out in the (UK) Spring, as you subscribed in the new year. No doubt Tony will confirm that for you, or otherwise.

I believe that when you first subscribe your first Journal is the current one which would be Journal 76, the winter one. It will probably take a week or so to process and then get it posted out to you.

And being in Australia it will probably take another couple of weeks! I guess your Journal will either be on its way already or very soon will be.

Your first Journal is in the post Jomo, and hopefully on its way to Australia. Normally a Journal takes about a week to ten days to get to Australia, but because of Covid post is currently taking much longer, in some recent instances almost six weeks. It differs from state to state as all seem to have different rules, but at one time all post was being put into quarantine your end, but I am not sure if this is still the case.

Thanks Tony, I am looking forward to it, but you are right, the post is very delayed. In recent months I ordered a book from a vendor in Ireland and it took over 7 weeks to arrive - more than half that time after it landed in Sydney. I don’t know what Customs does with OS parcels but it probably involves armies of sniffer dogs and zapping them with gamma rays!

Especially if Tony didn't give it a jab before he posted it. ;)

When it arrives, it might be an idea to give it an LFT!

Glad you've received your Journal and found your way into the Secret Passage, Jomo! I'd take a torch, spare batteries and some food!

I was considering a rope. Maybe a peg-rope as well.

Will raspberry tarts, iced buns, oranges, ginger beer and chocolate do for the food supplies?
