What a wonderful cover.
Contents look great, despite the paucity of Betty Maxey articles!

Looks great — I love the cover!
Maybe we just need someone to write them...pete9012S wrote: Contents look great, despite the paucity of Betty Maxey articles!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Anita’s look at Five are Together Again caught me eye immediately! It will be interesting to see what is said about the weakest book in the series!

Re: Journal 69
This is still at the printers, but I have put it up a bit earlier than I usually do as Journal 68 is now sold out. I'm sorry for those who have missed out on this, but more and more people wait a year or so before resubscribing and it is very difficult to get the print run right. I have dozens of back issues of some recent Journals in stock and in the first six months of this year only one person has bought any back issues - and that was in January!
As nobody is likely to notice it in the Cave I thought I would just say that also coming back from the printers are a few copies of this, though I doubt if many will sell as only those who read these forums will know about it.

I had never seen any of the stories here, but David had compiled this for his own amusement and emailed it across to me - I don't think he expected me to publish it!

Oh Wow!! I thought the days of Society publications were over as so few copies sold. The new booklet Life Stories From History looks very interesting, I shall certainly buy a copy, it's not in the online shop yet but I shall check daily. Well done David Chambers and Tony for publishing it.
The latest issue of the Journal looks great as always, I look forward to receiving my copy.

My Journal has just arrived. Time to put the kettle on and sit down with a cup of tea and the first taste of this latest collection of goodies.

Yours often arrives one of the first, Daisy...what do you bribe Tony with...?Daisy wrote:My Journal has just arrived. Time to put the kettle on and sit down with a cup of tea and the first taste of this latest collection of goodies.
Now I'm eagerly awaiting mine...but lately our post hasn't been coming until the afternoon!

Mine has just arrived too. It looks as impressive as ever and I shall enjoy reading it during the next day or two. Thank you, Tony.

I'm still waiting for the post — it's been coming late a lot in the last few weeks — but I live in hope that my Journal might come today too...

Mine has now arrived too!
It looks smashing as always - some interesting articles, and I'm very excited to see a 'new' Binkle and flip story included, as they were my favourites as a child.
I'd also publicly like to thank Tony for the trouble he went to for my article, as he looked up all twenty of the short stories I mention and managed to include an illustration for every one - plus, I see, two illustrations for two of the tales! Thanks so much, Tony - I really love the fact that each story has an illustration, as these were very much a part of my enjoyment of the stories when I was a kid. Thanks for all your hard work as always.
