I'm glad you've been inspired to read/reread some of the stories, Rob, and I know what you mean about the illustrations. They take me back strongly to the 1970s and to the house where we lived until I was six. They also remind me of when my children were little and enjoyed the books too. I recall that my daughter loved 'Sulky Susan' and my son loved 'The Other Little Boy' and '"I Dare You To!"'.
