Journal 65
I noticed this afternoon that Journal 65 is waiting in the wings. Lovely selection of articles, I'm looking forward to it.

Mine appeared on the mat today. It took me totally by surprise. I intend to start reading it tomorrow.

Re: Journal 65
Lucky you! I hope mine arrives tomorrow maybe! I thought they must have been posted out, as I know Tony doesn't add them too soon before posting them these days to avoid a thread of anticipation!!
I like the sound of Anita's article, as I was a big fan of the Sunshine Library from Purnell as a child. My favourite was Fireside Tales which was one of the first short story collections I ever owned - and has many illustrations coloured in brightly with felt pens!

The cover certainly looks warm and inviting and definitely needed after such a long, cold winter.
Enid fifteen, Going on Sixteen sounds intriguing, as does Dicks Adventure.

Hooray, my Journal came yesterday too! I've already read and enjoyed a few articles but will post more about them when I have more time.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Re: Journal 65
Thanks for another great Journal, Tony! I have read a couple of articles - including mine, which I always read first just to get it out the way! Thank you for the wonderful illustrations you chose to accompany it, Tony - they always make my articles appear much better than they really are.
At first I thought you'd said 'page 65' (reading the Journal number rather than the page number, lol!) - which I looked at and thought was maybe slightly faded in places, but nothing major. Then I came back to what you wrote and see you said 'page 45' -- no - can't see any problem with page 45. How intriguing!
I'm really pleased you managed to fill so many pages with interesting stuff, Tony, as I know you were worried at the beginning that it would be about 40 pages only! I would love to see more members writing Journal articles - its good to get fresh perspectives on well-known books and lesser known ones or hear about peoples reading experiences etc.

My copy has arrived in today’s post. Thank you, Tony. I shall enjoy reading it this evening.
Page 45 is fine in my copy.

It is anyone who says that page 45 isn't there that I am waiting for! So far three copies have turned up which are missing pages 39,40, 45 and 46 - just one sheet of paper but four pages!

'the Mystery of the Missing Pages'?
Oh well, half was only my article, so you're not missing much, lol! Shame about the other two pages though!
