Re: Journal 50
I've added a piece about the Journal to our Monday Blog for tomorrow with all the links and information. I don't know whether it will help, but I thought it would be worth a try!
"You're so sharp you'll cut yourself one day!" Hunchy said going to the door
"So my Mother told me that when I was two years old!" said Julian and the others giggled.

Re: Journal 50
Sounds marvellous Pete. I'm really keen to track down as many of the earlier journal editions as I can as many of the articles sound really interesting. I'd only need the first 30 though.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Re: Journal 50
As Journal 50 has now gone to the printers I have put it into the shop and Journal Catalogue. This is for the benefit of any new subscribers as this is the first Journal they will receive in order to stop them getting 49 and 50 in quick succession. I will not be sending it out for another two or three weeks, so please don't email me or phone me and ask why you haven't received it yet - this happens with every issue!

Great! Can't wait!
In came the Taggertys. They were clean, except Biddy knees looked like she had been crawling half a mile in some muddy place.

Re: Journal 50
Also looking forward to receiving this. I took a peak at the index and was disappointed to see that Bill's Diary wasn't included - then checked the section on Continuation Novels and found 3 new episodes for 1947 based on the Sea of Adventure. Apologies if this has been discussed already, but I missed this and spent a wonderful evening last night reading all three entries. Terry - you are so talented - I was almost in tears (expected to be) as Sea was always my favourite Adventure story and I guessed this one would be special. Terry captured the atmosphere brilliantly and as always was so authentic in relating the plot and developments, plus adding his own. For those who may have missed this - it makes great reading. Roll on 1948 and the Mountain of Adventure!

Re: Journal 50
I am not sure that some of the other Journal readers would have been quite as keen as you, Sally, as the file on my computer is over 26,000 words and takes up 61 pages! Not much room for anything else!!

Re: Journal 50
Tony - no problem - the series is far too long to be included in one journal, and the Continutation Books section seems a good place for it. I wonder if Terry could get this series published when he has completed it. His research must have been really extensive and he seems to have an inside "secret service" knowledge.

I was just remarking that I hadn't seen anywhere thar you had sent your article on seven stories to Tony yet. I was just remarking on the fact that its in the next journal.

For those that are interested Journal 50 was posted out today. If you are reading this but are not a subscriber, we still need another 32 UK subscriptions on this issue to break even, as at present it has gone out at a loss.

It is simply unbelievable to me how anyone could not renew their subscription to this wonderful publication. It's easily the best money I spend all year.
I shall look forward eagerly to receiving my copy in the next few days.
