I think I shall enjoy Journal 44, when I get it! Particularly excited about "Bill's Diary". I just spent a lovely day re-reading Journals 41-43! Thanks for the hard work, Tony, and to all the other contributors, especially Anita and Robert and Terry Gustafson, whose articles are for me the absolute best ones! :D

Cheers, Ming! I recall an absorbing article in a past Journal about the adventures of a certain Bangla Girl!

Looking forward to Journal 44 with fervour and glee!

Hold your horses there guys, if you are expecting an immediate delivery of a Journal and are keenly watching your letterboxes, maybe I should tell you now that you are out of luck as they are still at the printers!

Quite so, Tony, but for now, we shall remain at the edge of our seats, and when the Journals finally arrive we shall tuck into its contents!

Okay, now I'm just losing it.

I'm always ready for the next Journal the day after I finish reading the current one. Waiting for the next one to arrive reminds me of the anxiety of waiting for my Enid Blyton magazine to arrive. Our newsagent used to deliver them when they delivered the daily newspaper, but days before it arrived I would go down to their shop just to check they hadn't forgotten to deliver it. Luckily they were lovely people who owned the shop (rather like some of the shop owners in EB books) and were very patient with me.

cheers

Just to finish off the alphabet, I'm looking forward to Journal 44 with uncontrollable verve, wonder, x-citement, yearning and zeal!

How lucky you were to have Enid Blyton's Magazine as a child, Sue!

Now that the alphabet game has finished and all the envelopes are sitting ready to go as soon as Journal 44 comes back from the printers, I thought I would again show the destinations that Journals are going to end up in. I have left the Journal 42 figures in brackets to show the changes, and 111 (105) are now going overseas to 22 (23) different countries as follows:-

Australia - 28 (31)
USA - 15 (13)
Germany - 15 (11)
Ireland - 8 (9)
Spain - 6 (8)
New Zealand - 6 (5)
Netherlands - 5 (5)
Canada - 5 (3)
South Africa - 4 (2)
Portugal - 4 (2)
Switzerland - 3 (2)
India - 2 (1)
Malaysia - 1 (2)
Austria - 1 (2)
Israel - 1 (0)
UAE - 1 (1)
Thailand - 1 (1)
Bangladesh -1 (1)
Italy - 1 (0)
Sweden - 1 (1)
France - 1 (1)
Finland - 1 (0)

Cyprus - (0) 1
Hungary - (0) 1
Indonesia - (0) 1
Denmark - (0) 1

So welcome to Israel, Italy and Finland, but au revoir to Cyprus, Hungary, Indonesia and Denmark.

Wow! That's an impressive destination for the journals to find their way too. Enid Blyton fans are really wide spread throughout the world. I wonder if Enid is looking down and feeling very pleased with her many followers. She should be. That's quite an achievement. :D

Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.

That is an amazing list. A huge tribute both to Enid for supplying the inspiration and to Tony and all the regular contributors for the high quality of The Journal. If it wasn't so good it would not be half as successful.
