Just looked on the society shop at next journal's contents, and I must say it looks another brilliant read. Specially interested in the pepys games like 'Find out'. One thing I'd like to 'find out' about all of the games is how you tell a first edition from a later one? Sue Bell always has 'first edition' when she's selling one, and i wondered how you can tell?

Can't wait for Journal 34 to arrive now!

All gone! I have just deleted your repeat. I have been putting Journals into envelopes all day, as they arrived this morning. When I went to buy the stamps at the post office he said 'You don't want to bother with that, we'll do them all for you' - Too good an offer to refuse, but I am not quite sure now exactly when they will be sent out, with over a thousand stamps to stick on it's a lot of work and I still have to get them to the post office first. Hopefully they will arrive later this week, but I still have quite a bit to do.

My dad sent a large envelope by post recently and they did the stamp electronically without actually sticking a stamp on it. Maybe that's what they're gonna do?!

It's called "franking", and it does away with the hassle of sticking stamps. The envelopes are stacked and fed through a machine that prints an emblem on each, and it shouldn't take more than a few minutes to get a thousand letters ready for posting.

The Journals have all left the nest (apart from Moose's which doesn't know where to fly and is still sitting here waiting for Moose to come up with a destination!). No magic machines in the post office apparently, just blood, sweat and hopefully not, tears! They may well use labels rather than stamps on the overseas ones, but they still have to be stuck on. I hope they arrive this year!!

I'm thoroughly looking forward to Journal 34. Journal 33, my first since joining the Society a few months back was (and still is) a great read. It would be nice if they were published quarterly but I speak in jest as a huge amount of work must go into each issue, not to mention dispatch.

Poor Anita! They were apparently posted by my local post office yesterday, but second class, so I guess it is the luck of the draw when they arrive! If you want something to look at, I have uploaded all the illustrations from the first four Famous Five books on the Book Listing and done some work on Caravan and Kirrin Again. 32 illustrations in each book so it is very time-consuming - over 140 scans so far!
