I agree - I prefer the title and I do like Eileen Soper's illustrations. Much better than Dudley Wayne's. I can see that he has made the children more modern in their clothes but it does not fit the story line as well.
You'll never wear your own brains out, Mr. Goon - you don't use them enough !

Eileen Soper's illustrations are best-- somehow the pictures of Julian,Dick etc.really match the characters. I think Eileen Soper has illustrated in stand alone booka too-- some of them-- like the Blue story.book and all.She's knows her work very well
