I've just finished the first MT book as written by Pamela Cox: "New Term at Malory Towers". Fully intend reading the other five by her but have been temporarily distracted by Hamish Macbeth. I think my mission this year, if I can get away from Hamish, will be to re-read a ton of EB books, I'm sure there are loads available on the Kindle - if I could be sure to not get the "updated for the modern world" versions. Either that or to find a second hand bookshop around here somewhere, or a charity shop, and pick up the versions I read in the 70s.

Just started "Island of Adventure" the first in the series. It still surprises
me that 2 sets of children have only one parent between them - Philip
and Diana's mother (and she doesn't look after them as she runs a business).

I'm currently reading a Playways Annual which has a story by Enid Blyton in it - The Pole Star Family. As it's a an annual it obviously contains many other writers in it, and it's interesting to see what other styles were around at the same time Enid was writing.

I'm currently reading the facsimiles which I bought from the Society Stall at the E.B. Day. I've read Tricked on the Track, and am now on The Wonderful Adventure.

I've just finished Tricked on the Track as well. I enjoyed it a lot. Very good value too; three stories for £3.00. I would have bought a whole collection of those booklets but I ran out of cash.

I am reading one of the booklets from the Society stall too. "Tales of Romance: King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table", incredible to think this stirring prose has not seen the light of day since 1928.
