So in 'Secret Seven On The Trail' Enid had no qualms about another club being called the Famous Five because when she wrote it what became known as her own Famous Five were still just The Five.

Secret Seven on the Trail was published in 1952 and Julian et al were called 'the Famous Five' from 1951, so Enid Blyton was clearly referencing her series for older children.

The book in which Colin brings his set of Famous Five books to the cave (not treehouse) is Secret Seven Win Through (1955).

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was unsure about whether it was the cave or the treehouse.
