Re: Ruby Story Book
I have that book. According to a note in the front, it's a reprint of Enid Blyton's Bright Story Book. I also have Enid Blyton's Sapphire Storybook from the same series, which is a reprint of Enid Blyton's Lucky Story Book. Further titles in the series (though I don't have them) include:
Enid Blyton's Emerald Storybook
Enid Blyton's Amber Storybook
Enid Blyton's Turquoise Storybook
Enid Blyton's Coral Storybook
I'm not sure whether there are any others but I expect Tony will eventually be adding them to the Cave of Books.

Re: Ruby Story Book
He will indeed, they are on my huge list of things to do, but the six books are sitting on my scanner now, so you never know your luck!
As Anita has already indicated they are all new editions of the Hodder Story Books (in Short Stories). One interesting thing about the books is that they were illustrated by Angie Sage, who 28 years later is a best selling children's author in her own right, with the Septimus Heape series and the Araminta Spook series.

Re: Ruby Story Book
Thank you so much Anita and Tony.
With Enid Blyton, you never sure what's original and what's new or revised.

Re: Ruby Story Book
The full series is now sitting in the Cave of Books under Short Stories, Sixret - thanks for the nudge!
