Always make sure the Guide has the 'code cracker' bookmark still attached, or else you can't solve the mystery! Some second hand books have the bookmark missing.
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

I've just bought a copy for myself.
I don't know if it contains the codecracker - is the code different for every book Rob?

The code cracker is the same for each book. If yours is missing I could send you a photocopy of mine!

"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

It is indeed the same as Fiona says. If you get a photocopy you'd have to cut out quite a few little holes! ;-)

I might be nice enough to take a craft knife to it before I posted it

This won't necessarily help, but the image of the code card is in correct proportion to the image of the book. The exact measurement for the card is 5.85 inches high and 4.15 inches wide. Obviously a photocopy would be easier to work out!
