Re: 50 years since the death of Enid
This is probably right, Daisy, about Enid Blyton name not registering at first. Sadly though when I point out the books etc, still not many hands are raised. The children still go for JK Rowling, Walliams and a few others that even I don't know!
I always feel that's such a shame that my beloved author isn't top number one anymore in their eyes.

Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.

What a missed opportunity. I must say that beats Tony's excuses for not getting involved with the media!Fiona1986 wrote:... I, at late notice, at 6pm was invited into the Dundee STV studio to appear on it! Unfortunately I had to decline as I was in my pyjamas making Brodie's tea and I had just washed my hair and it was still wrapped in a towel turban.

Well, there's also the fact that I absolutely despise being filmed!
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Good to hear from you again Viv. I hope all is well with you down there in Dorset.

It’s good to hear from you, Viv. I hope all is OK with you.
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.
