Happy birthday to Enid.

I have celebrated by completing not one, but two Famous Five jigsaw puzzles this evening - the modern ones based on the mystery series, where you don't get a preview on the box so have to really think to put it together: The Vanishing Thief and The Ruined Cottage. :)

Today marks 124 years since the birth of Enid.

I hope that wherever her spirit is, that she is happy, and knows that her work is still adored today.

Happy Birthday to Enid! We hear of "influencers" on social media platforms these days but Enid Blyton must surely be one of the greatest genuine "influencers" ever, helping shape the hearts and minds of children generation after generation.
"Heyho for a starry night and a heathery bed!" - Jack, The Secret Island.

"There is no bond like the bond of having read and liked the same books."
- E. Nesbit, The Wonderful Garden.

Good point Anita!
I expect she would have had her own blog and website were she alive today, but despite the lack of such "social media platforms" she still managed to become a great "influencer".
