Sounds great Tony and Sue. Any idea of price yet?

Like Tony, I read an early draft of Enid Blyton - The Untold Story about twelve years ago and made some suggestions so I've now received a copy through the post. It's a sumptuous-looking hardback and I look forward to reacquainting myself with the contents. I remember that I particularly enjoyed the examination of her early work.

I was one of the earliest funders of this book, and quite a few years ago I was promised a copy.
I don't mind buying it and reviewing it favourably if it is indeed as good as it sounds.

Those who have received complimentary copies have whetted my appetite with their favourable comments. I should certainly be interested in buying a copy as long as it isn't ridiculously priced.

I got an advanced digital copy which I've read about a third so far and agree that it's worth reading (but I took the chapter on clairvoyance with a pinch of salt). Clearly a huge amount of research has gone into it and I've learned quite a bit already. As said already, there's no sensational rubbish (ie no naked tennis) in it.

Though I noticed that Rob Houghton is described as a Scot, but isn't he from Birmingham?

"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

I am away at the moment but have just received a lovely email from the author Brian Carter informing me that a copy of his new book is in the post to me.

What a kind gesture - thank you very much indeed Brian.
I look forward to praising your new book from the rooftops.

Best Wishes

Pete

I notice that the book is now available from Amazon at a cost of £25.

That's a great price, I thought it would be more. Well worth that, so much work/research went into it.

cheers

Hi John, Anita and Eddie

All is well thanks, and hope all is good with you too?!

The 'trigger' for my return visit was an email notification for this string. So I must have commented many moons ago!

I'll have a more leisurely 'stroll' round the forums at some point to see what I've been missing.

All the best

I've just spoken with Brian again and he's told me that he has closed his account with Amazon because of some unresolved issues. He's going to be selling the book through eBay instead. I really hope it gets the sales it deserves.
