Enid Blyton's Personality

Always wondered what Enid Blyton was like? Correct me if I'm wrong but Enid loved her fans(she liked to call them 'her friends'?)/ children who read her books and they often had tea-parties with her??

Unfortunately I never met Enid (to my great regret) but she must have been a special person to read
to so many children from a very early age. She understood children which is something that very few adults
do.
