I just saw the photos Anita had posted. They are all superb. ''Elfin Cottage '' was the best of the lot.--- the latticed windows, the pretty , neat cottage--really Elfin---as if the fairy folk live there.

Does anyone know when the couple from Chaffinch Road had their baby, and what it was?
I hope everything went well with the birth, and that they've enjoyed a lovely Christmas together in Enid's former house. I wonder if Santa bought it a cuddly Noddy or a set of books?

Yes, I too was wondering about that lovely couple, Katharine. I'm sure the baby would have been born a while ago, as she did look quite late in her pregnancy during the summer I thought.

I think they said the baby was due in September.

In which case let us hope for the mother's sake that it has arrived by now.
