Enid Blyton Celebration in Beaconsfield
I mentioned in the editorial of the latest Journal that Beaconsfield are holding a week of Blyton-related events starting on June 29th, but at the time that I wrote it I had no further details.
I have now been given a link to this and you will see that they are celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Enid Blyton's arrival at Green Hedges:-

Kari Dorme has told me that further details of events will be added to this page as and when they become available, so watch this thread!

Thanks for the link, Tony. I'm popping these dates down as I really would love to see what these celebrations are going to be like, and I do want to see the model village of Beckonscott, too.

Thanks from me, too, Tony. Chick and I have been planning to visit Bekonscot this year and with any luck we'll be able to do this on 29th June.

Thanks Tony. I shall do my best to attend this event. Perhaps we could get a few of us together for it?

"You're so sharp you'll cut yourself one day!" Hunchy said going to the door
"So my Mother told me that when I was two years old!" said Julian and the others giggled.

I've made a mental note of 29th June, but at the moment it's too far away to know whether I'd be able to make it or not. Apart from anything else, it will depend on whether the suggested get together in Beckenham goes ahead, as I think that was also pencilled in for June? I doubt funds will stretch to me having 2 trips out in one month.

Looks like it going to be good however, unfortunatley it's to far away for me to come for just a day. I hope everyone who attends has a great day though!

Looks exciting, sadly I don't think we'll be in that area at that particular time.
