There were six Mary Pollock books, Dot. Click on the following link for full details:

This link takes you to a page in the Cave of Books, which gives information about all of Enid Blyton's books. :D

I think it was very interesting that Enid chose Pollock not Blyton.

Sorry, that doesn't make sense to me. If she was choosing a pseudonym of course she wouldn't choose her existing name? :?

The choice of the name 'Mary Pollock' seems a fairly simple one, as has been pointed out, it was her middle name and her (at that time) married surname. However, I've always wondered why in her early days she chose the other names that she did.

In a rare flash of inspiration, today I suddenly think I've worked out her connection with 2 of her other names:-

Christopher - she attended St. Christopher's school as a child.

Becky Kent - she came from Beckenham in Kent.

However, I can't see any obvious link with the name 'Audrey St Lo'. Can anyone shed any light on this one?

Interesting theories, Katharine - I like them!

I haven't a clue about Audrey St Lo. Maybe Enid once had a friend called Audrey Lots - or a doll called Audrey which got lost! :)
