Nice to know that Enid out sells JK Rowling.
Thank for the list Eddie. It's certainly an interesting one.

An interesting list. I think R.K. Rowling has done very well to reach no. 10 considering she has considerably less titles to choose from than say Enid Blyton or Agatha Christie. As far as I know there are only the 7 Harry Potter books available, whereas there are 21 Famous Five alone as well as all the other series, short stories etc.

Agreed. This is, I imagine, total sales since day one. I was a bit confused as we aren't in 2012 yet.Katharine wrote:An interesting list. I think R.K. Rowling has done very well to reach no. 10 considering she has considerably less titles to choose from than say Enid Blyton or Agatha Christie.

I think you're right about the sales being from day one, Nigel. As far as the date is concerned, most annuals for the following year are published in the previous August or September. This means that all the children's annuals (and the adult ones, for that matter) are available in readiness for Christmas.Moonraker wrote:Agreed. This is, I imagine, total sales since day one. Great news. Thanks Eddie.
