Re: Enid Blyton letter to former Australian PM, Sir Robert Menzi
I remember reading this letter a few years ago. Had forgotten all about it.
Interesting how Blyton denied to have written the book, when she in fact did.

Bob the Little Jockey was part of a series of books which had first been published in French, with no credited author. The versions with Enid Blyton's name on the covers are simply English translations of the French books and I think their origin remains something of a mystery. An article on the topic appeared in Journal 31, Winter 2006.

I notice the date was 1964. Enid would have been in the midst of her illness during that year, I expect.
I could hardly read the writing, unfortunately.

The letter has a very stern tone and makes me think Enid could be extremely tough when she needed to be.

Very true, Belly! I got that impression reading her biography as well.
