A Letter from Julia in Vietnam

I don't think that I have ever had letters from Vietnam before, but I have just received two from 8 year-old French girls living in Ho Chi Minh City.

What a great letter! Thank you for sharing it with us, Tony Blyton! :-D
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

(E. Blyton, Sunday Times, 1951)

What a nice letter. I do hope these children look at this site and learn a bit more about Enid Blyton. :)

What a lovely, chatty letter, Julia.

It's hard to say how many books Enid Blyton wrote because she wrote picture books, magazines, articles, letters, plays, poems, religious books and nature books as well as short stories and novels. Some of her stories were printed many times in different collections. What we do know is that she wrote around 180 novels and 5,000 short stories.

If you click on these links, they'll take you to other sections of our website where you can find out more about Enid Blyton's life (including her pets and where she lived) and her writing:
