TV series in the 90s??
Hi i watched something on tv when i was a kid, must of been in the 90's or somewhere around 2000. I'd really like to see it again
but cant remember what it was
im sure it was something like the secret seven or secret 5 or something like that.
I remember one or 2 episodes they was on a type of a jet boat, some sort of boat with an engine an they could go underneath in
a cabin. And i remember a cave that they went in..
My memory is pretty vague, i was a kid when i watched it but i used to watch it on tv every week..
Can someone tell me what it was an how i can watch it again ??
VHS, DVD?
Thanks !
I would really appreciate the help :

Your memories are a bit too vague to really say, I'm afraid. But it may be worth browsing youtube for the "secret series" or the "adventure series" by EB.
Sorry that I cannot help more.

I suppose it could be a scene from River of Adventure - but I've no idea if it was ever made into a film. Try reading the review in the Cave of Books and it may ring a bell.scottyd2k9 wrote:

It sounds as if it might have been one of the NZ adaptations - if it was an Enid Blyton, that is.

May I just ask what you mean by "new" ones and "old ones"?Are there any newer types of famous five ? Not the old ones ?
The reason I'm asking is that there were two TV series, not counting the horrible "Five on the case" as well as at least three films with a fourth one in production to be out soon.
Back to the TV series:
We usally call the 1970s series the old series, even though the setting was the then present day, whereas the new series. produced in the 1990s is set back in the early 1950s and therefore "looks" older.
If, however, you were talking about books, a visit to the Cave of Books on the society homepage might be the best answer, better than anything I could provide.
Hope that helps.
Cheers
Dick

This is a picture from the Secret Series which was filmed in New Zealand and all the children in the picture are local to New Zealand (Kiwi Kids!). One of these children, the fair-haired girl one up from the bottom with the hair band was also in the Adventure Series. Both series were filmed by Cloud 9 in the 90s and didn't follow Enid Blyton's books all that accurately.

I should have added in case you thought otherwise that the one at the very bottom of the tree is a boy! There are three boys and two girls.
