Hehehehe

I think I'm going to have to agree with you there...
"You're so sharp you'll cut yourself one day!" Hunchy said going to the door
"So my Mother told me that when I was two years old!" said Julian and the others giggled.

While I generally prefer films to stay true to the original story, and that includes the time period as well, it looks as if they have done a good job on this.

With the story being based on The Famous Five, it would be a shame if they don't dub it into English, as their ought to be a big market both here and across the English speaking world.
I went on some great adventures reading the Famous Five books.

Lucky Star wrote:Sounds interesting although they are obviously taking some liberties with the storyline. The first holiday together would imply Five on a Treasure Island whereas the laboratory on the island implies Five on Kirrin Island Again.

Which is of course exactly what the 1970's TV series did.

I don't suppose that the movie will get a British release? Even with subtitles? It looks quite fun from the trailers I've seen, but I never learnt German so I can only pick up on what mood it's supposed to be from the actors.

It just seems to be called "The Famous Five", although on one of the websites it seemed to have been subtitled "Five on Kirrin Island".

Hope that helps!

It looks like it's a little bit of a mix between Kirrin Island again and Treasure Island, but heavier on the Treasure Island side of things.

Kirrin Island again is right, it's the basic plot. Never heard something of a treasure in the film. The Story is enlarged with new threads, here and there. The policeman Armin Rohde looks for me like "Clear-Orf" of the Mystery of oR Five Find-Outers Serial. Look there e.g.:

;-)
On the filmset he was really funny. I made one day there an extra job. :D

If there will be no subtitle I suppose it could possible to make a good content view, like this german article, I have made:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Famous ... he_Musical

I suppose I will see the film soon. :D
