Thanks gal. Happy New Year as well.
Do you still live in Britain or are you abroad?
Anyway...I'm looking forward to your pics.

60km??? ...Sure, but with telescope only? Please indulge me Lady, but I can't really imagine this. I haven't been to Britain yet not to speak of North Sea.

Re: Looking for Jo
Can only see it if a clear day and standing on the white cliffs.. but a bit cold at the moment with snow.... and us city girls dont like the cold.. have fun julie (jo)
Re: Looking for Jo
Isn't it the English Channel? I believe it is about 20 miles (30k), so should be viewable on a clear day. Of course, if PP were to look across the North Sea, he might not be able to see France!peppermint peppy wrote:60km??? ...Sure, but with telescope only? Ok,ok Mr. Faultfinder
Between Cap Gris-Nez and Dover there is a distance about 35 km. Isn't it???
I had misestimated very roughly and have been looking up at Wikipedia.
Hard to believe but true. Look at this.

Hi Petermax,
thanks a lot. You get it about right.
How have you made this translation? Have you used a Google Desktop Bar?

Such flattery! I merely ran the URL through an online translator.

All a matter of know-how. And to have the know-how is a laudable skill.
