1978 Series Poll Thread
OK Folks here is the poll to determine which of the Famous Five TV episodes we'd like to watch and discuss to mark the 30th aniversary of the 1978 series. I've just put the main ones that I think we'd be most interested in watching and which have already been mentioned in PP's thread which can be found here.

A quick check has revealed that all are available on Youtube in both series so happy voting.

Yes that will certainly make it a lot more interesting to have one of the cast involved. Wonder which episode Gary voted for.Anita Bensoussane wrote:It'll be great to have you in on the discussion, Gary!

On a down note I've been having some technical problems with my computer so I may not be around that much for the next week unless I manage to log on at work. My ISP have suspended my account, I've no idea why until I can contact them on Monday. Hopefully its nothing insoluble.

Re: 1978 Series Poll Thread
My favourite episode "Five run away together" is not listed above.
Why did you not list all episodes, so that there was a complete choice?
So I voted for "go down to the sea". Surprised I´m the first one, cause this episode is a great one, isn´t it?
Unfortunately, I am offline at times, because I moved into another flat where there are problems to get a free internet port. But I will try to take part in your discussion on 3. july from an internet cafe.
take care.

I've also voted.
Five Run Away Together, is also one of my favourites. Fear not though, I'm not jumping on anyone.
Nice seeing you online again, Yan.

Re: 1978 Series Poll Thread
As Lucky Star is currently experiencing internet problems it may be a few days before he can reply. I'm guessing that he only included titles nominated in Peppermint Peppy's thread (there's a link to that from the first post above.) Too many choices could result in an inconclusive result, and there's a limit anyway as to how many options can be included in a poll on this site (though I'm afraid I can't remember off-hand what the number is!) Sorry your favourite episode wasn't listed though, Yan!Yan wrote:My favourite episode "Five run away together" is not listed above.

Re: 1978 Series Poll Thread
I had assumed that the titles picked out for the poll were mostly the two-parters as they provide better food for a more meaty discussion! Five of the eight are two-parters - Smuggler's Top, Camp, Trouble, Demon's Rock and Sea.
I had also understood that they were going to be compared to their 90s counterparts, and it would seem a fairer comparison if a two-parter was picked here, but only two of these titles also came as a double - Smuggler's Top and Sea.
As most die hards have already voted, this information won't unduly influence anyone (I assume it isn't possible to vote twice in a poll!), but it might be something worth considering for those who are still sitting on the fence.

I just noticed that it is possible to change your vote in the poll. Not sure whether new options can be added or not, though.
