Ginger Pop on BBC
The BBC have suddenly got very interested in Enid Blyton's 110th Birthday celebrations
In 7 hours time I will be interviewed on BBC Radio Solent ( edit - 8 hours for BST. Anyway I'm expecting a phone call at 7.30!)
Thursday evening the Blyton Birthday party will feature on "Going Out" on BBC TV South Today.
On Saturday morning BBC1 TV "Breakfast " will also do a bit. They are filming Rosie on Friday
I am almost organised!

Wow!! Its wonderful to hear that, Viv. You mean you will be fully interviewed by the BBC? Wow!!
I'm not sure if I have the channel in my country but could you record it? I would love to hear it. Don't forget to mention these forums and also enthusiastic foreign fans like me and Ming!
Best of luck!

Members of this forum not residing in the UK will be delighted to know that they will be able to watch the BBC South Today feature from the comfort of their PCs. The BBC now archive most of their news and current affairs output. The South Today feature should be available for repeat viewing on the web within a few hours of transmission which will be at 1830-1900 B.S.T BBC South region only.

Peppermint Peppy, I'm pleased that you like the Solent, I live just ten minutes drive away. On a clear day I can see the Isle of Wight from the end of my street.

At what time will it be broadcast, Viv? I suppose I COULD look it up on the website, but I can't be bothered. (Lazy Bones)

It should be mentioned that BBC South is available to everyone in the UK with Sky Satellite Television. All of the BBC regions are found from 974 to 988 on the EPG. BBC South should be on channel 984.
Happy viewing!

You'll all see it except me!
In 5 mins time John & I are off to Yorkshire because we are going to a wedding tomorrow in Harrogate. No staying for the reception though - we'll be heading south again, ready to be bright eyed & bushy tailed for Saturdays party!

Excellent article on the BBC site. Thanks for posting the link Ming. I'll be looking out for the tv programme also.

Re: Ginger Pop on BBC
Fascinating article, great interview. I probably sound slightly cynical here, but I'm rather surprised the BBC spoke so highly of Enid Blyton. They do like to be fashionable and modern, and I might have expected some little dig about her being dated in some people's eyes. But no, it was a refreshingly objective piece!
Re: Ginger Pop on BBC
Viv how did it go? I missed it, oh why did I have to come on this late and miss all the fun I can kick myself for that.
There is always something else new to learn.

Saw the interview. Well done Viv. You're a tele natural. Some lovely scenes of Corfe Castle too.
Thanks Nigel for posting the channel number 984, otherwise I wouldn't have seen the programme, as ours is different of course this side of the SW.
