I had a book when I was younger, which I'm sure was by Enid Blyton, but I can't remember what it was called.
It was about 3 pixies or elves who bought a magic trunk from a witch which made someone disappear then reappear. They took it to the king to put on a magic show for him and they used the princess for the trick, but when she got into the trunk it flew away. The king banished them until they brought back the princess. They then travelled all over, going to various towns to try and find her. At one point they met a little girl who had curly hair and tried to straighten it with an iron. I can't remember much else, but I would love to find it.
Can anyone help me?!
can anyone remember this book?

Hi Fiona,
The book you're looking for is The Enid Blyton Book of Brownies. As well as finding Princess Peronel, the three brownies Hop, Skip and Jump have to find their own goodness. You can see a picture of the book in the Book-Listing section:
