The Wrong Road?

can anyone identify an Enid Blyton Story In which 2 children read in a newspaper about a criminal named Jackson (?), and they ask their mother why Jackson should have gone wrong?

I think the mother gives an explanation that Jackson had been an ordinary little boy until one day when he had the choice to do something good or something bad. He took the wrong road, and that was why he ended up in prison.

Can anyone help?

Hi Comerscroft,

The story is called "They took the Wrong Road" and it's in Tales at Bedtime (Collins.) You're right that the criminal is called Jackson.
