Not so much looking for a book but parts for it

Post by Jamesieboy »

I have recently picked up a copy of the Haunted Railway Game book, sadly the map, dice and cards are missing. I was wondering if anyone could help me, I know there are pics of them in the cave of books. Unfortunately when I tried to print them off the compass and binocular cards were far too small. Can anyone help me with getting the right sizes for them please? Admin please move this if in wrong area wasn't sure where to post.

Thanks
Jamesieboy.

The main problem would be that the compass and binocular cards have to be see-through - if I remember rightly. They are printed on transparent plastic. Also, you'd need to make a dice with 'Julian, Dick, George, Timmy etc on each of the sides, plus other instructions.
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

Hi Rob, not too worried about printing off the compass and binocular cards my printer can print on clear ohp sheets. Also could just cut out see trough sections with a hobby/craft knife. Dice again not major problem it's six sided, side for each of the five and a "mystery" side. Will get my nephew to help here, get him to help me design and 3d print one. He's a genius at that partly due to it being what he is studying at uni lol. When I say help me design and 3d print it, I mean he'll design it on his computer, I'll just print it   . Looking through book looks like all instructions are printed inside. So just need size's for the two cards, I'll save a copy of ones in cave and resize to correct size with computer. Hoping to have sorted out so can do with niece (quite a large age difference between her and her brother) during the summer holidays.

I can give you the dimensions, as I have similar of these books (there were about 8 in the series) All the cards - picnic cards, binocular cards, compass cards etc are 7.5cm x 10.5cm. Hope that helps. :D
